Definitely a great snacking cheese.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Those who love cheese love it for all occasions, but there\u2019s something about a cheese that hits hardest when a snack is in order. We asked 12 cheese pros \u2014 from cheesemakers, cheesemongers, cheese educators, cheese content creators, and cheese writers \u2014 for their favorite go-to snacking cheese, and here\u2019s what or a warm blanket on a cold night.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Comt\u00e9\u2019s complexity also makes it not unlike a meal in a single bite, another hallmark of a great snack when you need something to sustain you between sitting-down-and-eating occasions. \u201cVelvety and luxurious, it invites you along a flavor journey with many destinations on the way \u2014 fruity, nutty, brothy and Wellsesley, Massachusetts. \u201cSpain\u2019s Mah\u00f3n is my favorite snacking cheese,\u201d says Scott, \u201ccreamy, nutty, and always a hit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Mah\u00f3n DOP is made from thermalized cow\u2019s milk on the island of Menorca. \u201cIt\u2019s aged just four months for a moist, buttery texture that melts on your palate,\u201d says Scott. \u201cI often tell customers: Spain doesn\u2019t make cheddar, but if they did, this would be it. As follows, its domestic doppelganger also makes for good snacking, on a more affordable scale. \u201cI love Cello Copper Kettle Parmesan with coffee,\u201d says Shannon Bonilla, <a href=\"https:\/\/l.gourl.es\/l\/f9800e9a36c9c5c83762332e86498765d7665dd0?u=9703452\" target=\"_blank\">Wisconsin Cheese <\/a>Expert, Licensed Wisconsin Cheesemaker and ACS CCP.\u00a0 (As the state that popularized cheese curds, you know that Wisconsin\u2019s cheese snack game is top tier.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cAny cheese makes a good snack, but some bring a little extra character, like the texture you get from tyrosine crystals in aged cheeses,\u201d Bonilla explains. Cello\u2019s take on Parmesan is cooked in copper kettles, per its Italian lineage, and aged for 16 months, providing plenty of those crystals to crunch on, just as one would a bag of chips during a snack attack.
